Kelsea Martinez is an independent upcoming artist. Born in Lawrence, MA but raised in Jacksonville, FL. Kelsea began writing poetry and songs at the young age of 9. With her parents being from Lawrence MA and the Bronx NY, Kelsea's upbringing was surrounded by music mainly Hip-hop and R&B.  Life wasn't easy for her to say the least. Kelsea channeled her struggles into her songwriting. Soon growing to be diagnosed with multiple illnesses, music became her only voice. Through her health struggles Kelsea continues to persevere. She states, "God gave me this journey and this gift for a reason, I believe this is what I was brought here to do, show others like me even with illness, pain, struggle we can find the light and be the light we wish to see. "Mastering the genres between Indie, hip-hop and R&B, Kelsea's goal is to be the change she needed growing up, inspiration through her songs. And that is what she will do.
